राष्ट्र के गौरव में ही हमारा गौरव है। परंतु आदमी जब इस सामूहिक भाव को भूलकर अलग -अलग व्याक्तिगत धरातल पर सोचता है तो उससे नुकसान होता है। जब हम सामूहिक रूप से अपना -अपना काम करके राष्ट्र की चिंता करेंगे तो सबकी व्यवस्था हो जाएगी। यह  मूलभूत बात है कि हम सामूहिक रूप से विचार करें , समाज के रूप में विचार करें , व्यक्ति के नाते से नहीं। इसके विपरीत कोई भी काम किया गया तो वह समाज के लिए घातक होगा। सदैव समाज का विचार करके काम  चाहिए। ......... पं. दीनदयाल उपाधयाय का अंतिम भाषण (४ फरवरी , १९६८ , बरेली , उत्तरप्रदेश )

Nation pays heartfelt tribute to our 17 brave army men who sacrificed their lives in terrorist attack on Army camp at Uri.  We are indebted to and there are no words to pay homage to our brave soldiers. Its time up for discussions and meetings. Time is ripe now for action. It  needs  strategic planning on the ground  and give befitting reply to our enemies. Time requires a complete shift from soft to hard conflict management and pro active approach from govt of India on ground.

Be it any creed or religion, if it does not value humanitarian values and promotes harm to even the smallest of living entities, it must seriously think of course correction otherwise it will surely destruct itself. In the present age, probably there is nothing as ominous as Religious fundamentalism and its contemptuous disregard for human values. What face does Pakistan have to show to the world on the eve of Bakrid? Infamous as one of the most ardent proponents of religious fundamentalism in the form of terrorism, Pakistan has nowhere left to hide. Nurturing terrorism to wage a proxy war against India is a plan that is sure to backfire ultimately. Pakistan, the infamous hub of human right violations must mend its ways lest it should be too late.

We celebrate 8th September as World Literacy Day. In Indian culture, education is not only to equip ourselves with theoretical learnings but also to train our body, mind and soul so as to achieve all round development. Education should be aimed to achieve the spirit of tranquility and equanimity of mind both in physical world as well as in internal world. A balanced and comprehensive approach towards education will strengthen human being  to develop humanitarian values and peace in the world, which is the need of the hour today. Western education system appears to be incomplete and lacks comprehensive approach. Our enriched Indian culture and the value system has the strength  and capability to provide holistic education system.

Today is World Literacy Day and its high time that we take note of the alarmingly low levels of female literacy rates in Muslim countries and elsewhere. Female education is badly suffering due to religious fanaticism especially in the Muslim world. We are in dire need of brave spirits like Malala who have the courage to raise their voices in the face of religious extremism and gender injustice. Malala declared that
" I do not want to be thought as the girl who was shot by the Taliban, but as the girl who fought for education"
Pakistan has the lowest youth literacy rate.Only 59 percent females are literate as compared to 79 percent of males in the age group of 15 to 24 years. Nearly half of all women in the Arab World are illiterate. Saudi Arabia did not have a high school until after 1930, and its first girls school was established after 1950.

डॉ राधाकृष्णन भारतीय संस्कृति के प्रणेता और सुरक्षा कवच थे। आज हम सभी का दायित्व है की हम अपनी संस्कृति को अब बौद्धिक  औपनिवेशिक बंधन से मुक्त करें। शिक्षक दिवस  की बहुत शुभकानाये। 

प्रो राकेश सिन्हा द्वारा हिंदी विवेक में प्रकाशित लेख 'भारतीय बौद्धिकता पर मैकाले -मार्क्सवादी  ग्रहण ' अद्भुत और विचारणीय है। इस लेख में सूक्ष्म और वृहत विश्लेषण के द्वारा तथ्यों के आधार पर भारतीय संस्कृति को दरकिनार करने की जो चेष्टा  मैकाले समर्थक कुछ  कांग्रेस और मार्क्सवादी  बुद्धिजीवियों  द्वारा  की गई है इसमे इन सभी को उजागर करने का प्रयास किया गया है। ''औपनिवेशिक शासन का तो अंत हुआ परन्तु औपनिवेशिक संस्कृति सोच और समझ यथावत बनी रही।

 स्वयं जवाहरलाल  नेहरु ने जाने -अनजाने इस सच को स्वीकार किया था कि उन्होंने भारत को पश्चिम के प्रिज्म से देखा है। " डॉ   राजेंद्र प्रसाद , एन वी  गाडगिल ,पुरुषोत्तमदास टंडन, शंकरराव देव ,कन्हैयालाल माणिकलाल मुंशी इत्यादि ऐसे कितने ही भारतीय संस्कृति के चिंतको को हासिये पर रखा गया। ऐसे अनेक तथ्यों  के द्वारा इस लेख में बौद्धिक आतंकवाद का परिचय मिलता है। लेकिन हमारी संस्कृति आशावादी है और इसलिए इस लेख की  अंतिम पंक्ति भी सूर्यकांत त्रिपाठी निराला जी रचित  एक पंक्ति से ख़त्म होती  है जो उन्होंने भगवान श्री राम के सन्दर्भ में  लिखा  था और वह पंक्ति भारत के राष्ट्रवादी चिंतन धारा के लिए उपयुक्त  है  .. होगी जय , होगी जय , हे पुरुषोत्तम नवीन।

Debates,discussions and conferences make their worth when it gives some output in a problem solving manner. It should find out the answers of what ought to be rather than only focussing  only on what is? Patna Women's College Political Science Department and History Department in collaboration with Women's Development Corporation and Centre for Gender Studies is organising an  INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CHALLENGING PATRIARCHY : A HUMANIST PERSPECTIVE from 26th-28th October 2016. Let us hope that the Conference will come out with some solution and innovative ideas. My paper for conference is 'ISLAM ,GENDER JUSTICE AND UNIFORM CIVIL CODE'. Mumbai High Court's decision to allow women in Haji Ali Dargah is appreciable and will have a deep impact on the efforts being made towards achieving the goal of Gender Equity. Change is inevitable  and is a continuous process in a  progressive society. No doubt Islam need renaissance in totality to let valued the article 21 of constitution RIGHT TO LIFE WITH DIGNITY  and Humanism.
The statement given by All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) in Supreme Court that " Sharia grants right to divorce to husband because men have greater power of decision making" is ridiculous. This shows the mentality of the persons sitting at such a level, Certainly it is an indicator that the gender equality issue is going to take a long time to settle.
